Geometrical Optics is a type of Optics which could be seen by a phenomenon in which an object is dropped in still water such that circular waves are produced which propagates out of the contact point over the two-dimensional surface. If we consider a light source which emits light in three-dimensional directions, the waves are spherical and direction of the wave front is perpendicular to the wave front.

Nano Optics is the study of materials and their structures at a very small (Nano) level which would help in giving an idea about the properties of the material and sometimes it’s structural representation in a very clear manner. These Nano sized structures were already existed before scientists have studied about the in the real life at their laboratories. Some of the live examples of these Nano materials would be DNA, scales of the wings of butterflies and peacock feathers.

Optical Communication is a type of communication in which the information from one place to another is being transmitted through light which carries the information. This phenomenon can be seen in the electronic devices. The whole system consists of a transmitter and a receiver where the transmitter transmits the information in the form of optical signal by encoding the message. This signal will be carried till the destination thus; the receiver will receive it and decodes it in the form of the actual message. Whereas optical networking is same as optical communication but the only difference is that the transmitted information will be sent among the various nodes of telecommunications network.
